Job Summary
The Senior Public Relations Manager will handle crisis situations, build relationships with media, and proactively manage company reputation.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy that aligns with our business goals and proactively addresses current public perception challenges
- Create compelling stories and narratives that resonate with target audiences and enhance our brand image
- Position executives and company leaders as thought leaders in the industry, including preparation of press releases, interviews, and public statements
- Work closely with the PR Agency and internal business units to develop messaging about the brand
- Ensure media inquiries are responded to in a timely manner with accurate, compelling information
- Develop and implement category specific PR stories into local PR channels
- Develop and oversee successful execution of annual strategies, which include clear objectives and measurable results
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management
Desired Profile
- First degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations or related field
- Extensive PR Experience: A minimum of 15 years in public relations, ideally with experience in the telecommunications or a similarly competitive, consumer-focused industry
- Crisis Management and Media Relations Expertise
- Strong strategic communications planning skills
- Strong content creation skills
- Excellent reputation management and thought leadership skills
