The Research Analyst conducts in-depth research, data analysis, and market intelligence gathering to support investment decisions and strategic planning. The role involves evaluating financial data, preparing analytical reports, and providing actionable insights on sectors, markets, and specific investment opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Conduct fundamental and technical research on industries, companies, and economic trends.
•Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data, market reports, and statistical information.
•Prepare detailed investment research reports, forecasts, and models to support portfolio management.
•Monitor global and local market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
•Support strategy teams with data-driven insights to guide investment decisions and business planning.
•Maintain and update internal databases with economic, financial, and company-specific data.
•Participate in investment committee meetings, presenting findings and recommendations.
•Assist in preparing client reports, pitchbooks, and thought leadership content.
•Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Portfolio Management, Strategy, and Business Development) to align research with business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE
•Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Professional certification (or progress toward one) such as CFA, ACA, or CIIA is an added advantage.
•2–4 years of relevant experience in investment research, financial analysis, or strategy.
•Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
•Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, or other market data platforms is preferred.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
