Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans covering poultry, fishery, and crop production units. And overall goals and objectives.
- Implement strategies to improve productivity, profitability, and sustainability.
- Evaluate and introduce modern agricultural practices and technologies to enhance efficiency.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily farm operations across crop farming, poultry and fishery, ensuring optimal use of resources, personnel, and materials.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for planting, harvesting, livestock care, and overall farm productivity.
- Supervise farm staff and ensure adherence to best agricultural practices.
- Manage budgets, farm inputs, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Monitor and evaluate farm performance, providing regular reports to the client.
- Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural regulations, health, and safety standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and infrastructure.
- Manage fish farming operations including pond preparation, fingerling stocking, feeding, water quality control, disease prevention, and harvesting.
- Track production data across both poultry and fishery units, including feed usage, growth rates, mortality, medication, and harvest output
Desired Profile
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Crop Science, or related field.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in general farm management.
- Proven experience managing a medium to large-scale farm (crops, livestock, or mixed farming).
- Strong leadership, people management, and organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of agricultural practices, seasonal cycles, and sustainability principles.
- Hands-on and practical approach to problem-solving on the farm.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and decision-making abilities.
- Candidates must be mature, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with farm management digital tools is an added advantage.
- Must be residing/willing to reside in or commute regularly to Ijebu Ode.
